The Pont du Gard
An ancient masterpiece 35 minutes from your hotel
Your stay in our hotel will be the perfect opportunity to discover the famous Pont du Gard.
This remarkable construction, a feat of Roman engineering, is the most visited ancient monument in France. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A true masterpiece of humanity, the Pont du Gard is part of the aqueduct that carried water from Uzès to Nîmes to supply thermal baths and fountains.
Its construction dates back to the 1st century BC. At 48 metres high, it is the only ancient three-storey bridge still standing today and the highest Roman aqueduct bridge in the world.
The many marked paths around the bridge will allow you to discover other remains of the aqueduct in the surrounding countryside.

Thanks to a redevelopment, the Pont du Gard site has become wild again.
The operation undertaken in 2000 has enabled the site to regain its original setting, with no car traffic and no buildings around it.
By booking your ticket to the site, you will have access to the facilities on both banks of the Gardon.
Discover the Pont du Gard Museum, which traces the history of the construction of the aqueduct and its function in Roman times. You will also have access to a presentation of the site's film, an open-air exhibition on the human occupation of the area, an educational area dedicated to youngsters, a temporary exhibition area and a restaurant-cafeteria for a well-deserved break.
You can also enjoy the beaches at the foot of the bridge or the pleasant paths in the garrigue for a walk among olive trees, vines and holm oaks.
